Vermont Technical College Celebrates 147th Commencement

On Saturday, May 4, Vermont Technical College celebrated the school’s 147th annual commencement ceremony. Taking place at Norwich University’s Shapiro Fieldhouse in Northfield, Vt., approximately 500 Vermont Tech students graduated with associate and bachelor’s degrees.

Gordon Sprague to Speak at Vermont Technical College Commencement Ceremony

Vermont Technical College is pleased to announce that Gordon Sprague will be delivering the commencement speech at the college’s main graduation ceremony, taking place on May 4, 2013. Born and raised on a family dairy farm in Brookfield, Vt., Mr. Sprague will also be awarded the honorary degree Doctor of Science, honoris causa. The commencement ceremony is taking place at 2 p.m. at the Shapiro Field House at Norwich University in Northfield, Vt.

Vermont Technical College Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Biomass Anaerobic Digester

Vermont Technical College today celebrated the groundbreaking for the Central Vermont Recovered Biomass Facility Anaerobic Digester. A facility that will be located on the college’s Randolph Campus, the anaerobic digester will use natural biological processes to produce electricity plus heat from food waste and manure.

Governor Shumlin Commends 2013 Electrical and Plumbing Apprenticeship Program Graduates at Vermont Technical College

On Saturday, April 13, Governor Peter Shumlin addressed the 55 graduates of the Vermont Department of Labor’s Electrical and Plumbing Apprenticeship Program. Vermont Technical College manages the apprenticeship classes under a grant provided by the Department of Labor, and the ceremony was held at the college’s main campus in Randolph Center.
